At its meeting on 2 December, the council of the University of Tartu Institute of Estonian and General Linguistics elected Associate Professor of General Linguistics Ann Veismann as the new head of the institute.
On 16 June, the council of the University of Tartu approved the new strategic plan, which sets the direction for the university’s activities for the next ten years.
The head of the centre is Visiting Professor of Digital Humanities Maciej Jakub Eder. The centre includes representatives from all institutes of Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Institute of Computer Science and the UT Library.
In 2018, the centre was established to give a wider profile to digital humanities at the University of Tartu and to promote interdisciplinary cooperation.
